Tokyo Daigaku Monogatari OAV Announced
|Watch Impress has announced that Sega, H.M.P. & Shogakukan have co-produced a two episode anime OAV adaptation of Tatsuya Egawa’s popular manga series Tokyo Daigaku Monogatari (Tokyo University Story). The first 30 minute long OAV will go on sale at convenience stores including 7-11, and Familymart beginning on February 24th. The 30 minute long OAV will retail at 2,800 yen. Mr. Haga, president of H.M.P. stated that the publisher’s first forray into producing anime, 2002’s From I”s OAV series, which was sold exclusively in Japanese convenience stores, was a great success, selling 70,000 copies. H.M.P. is hoping for similar success from Tokyo University Story. The second OAV will be released in March.
American fans may be familiar with series creator Tatsuya Egawa as the creator of Golden Boy.
