Detective Conan Announced for Cartoon Network Broadcast

The Cartoon Network has announced its acquisition of television broadcast rights to FUNimation’s English language adaptation of Detective Conan. With 7 theatrical films and over 350 episodes in Japan, the series is one of the highest rated and most watched anime series in Japan. Some fans may remember that several years ago Fox Television briefly considered licensing Detective Conan for American release, but decided that the series was too violent to air as a Saturday morning children’s cartoon in America.
