Japan to Officially Increase Support of Anime and Games

The Yomiuri Newspaper has published an English language report on Japanese political movements to increase support for and exposure of Japan’s pop culture entertainment industry and its anime, manga, and video game industries in particular. The article explains that these sectors of the Japanese economy, although small, are thriving admist Japan’s national economic recession. But not only is Japan’s pop culture entertainment industry thriving commercially, its exports are increasing global recognition and respect for Japanese culture.
