AnimeNEXT to Match Tsunami Relief Donations

The non-profit AnimeNEXT anime convention organization has announced a campaign to donate funds to UNICEF, The United Nations Children’s Fund, for tsunami victims in South East Asia. AnimeNEXT will match contributions made through the AnimeNEXT website, up to $5,000. Donations will go directly to UNICEF.

A $5 donation can provide an emergency health kit for one person for three months, including medical supplies and drugs to cover basic health needs. $87 can provide ten households with a basic family water kit including detergent, soap, a wash basin and bucket, towels, and water purification tablets.
