Live Action Galaxy Express 999 Movie Announced

Chinese director Jeff Lau has announced plans to direct a “sci-fi martial arts movie” loosely based on Leiji Matsumoto’s Galaxy Express 999 manga. The film, titled “Galaxy Princess,” will star Sammo Hung, Gordon Liu, Yuen Wah, Bruce Leung, Stephen Fung, Gillian Chung and Charlene Choi. The film will begin production in Mainland China in August, with a tentative release in early 2006.
