AD Vision News from Anime Weekend Atlanta
|AD Vision confirmed at this past weekend’s Anime Weekend Atlanta convention that they are currently negotiating for the American distribution rights to Noir and the uncut, unedited first two Japanese seasons of the Sailormoon TV series.
DVD versions of Plastic Little and Miyuki-chan in Wonderland are in the works, but have no release dates. Miyuki-chan will be released as a subtitled only $9.98 DVD. Plastic Little will include an optional “jiggle counter” as a bonus feature to keep track of “female cleavage bounces in the show.”
The first DVD volume of the Evangelion TV series is currently being re-mastered to remove the digital editing of the first version disc and restore all of the original Japanese footage. This disc will be released as part of AD Vision’s Evangelion DVD boxed set release. Fans that already have the Eva DVDs will be able to purchase the first “restored” DVD with the series box separately. ADV also confirmed plans for a “normal” and “premium” version Evangelion DVD boxed set, with the “premium” version being more expensive. No additional information, including prices or release dates, was revealed.
