AD Vision News from Project A-kon

AD Vision confirmed at last weekend’s Project A-kon convention that they have secured permission to release the Gensomaden Saiyuki anime in America under the name “Saiyuki” instead of the originally planned American name “Paradise Raiders.” Mahou Sensei Rui (Western title: Louie the Rune Soldier) will be released in America under the title “Rune Soldier.”

The Zone of the Enders OAV will debut in America this fall, followed by the TV series. You’re Under Arrest Special, the second YUA TV series, will probably premier next year, preceding the motion picture release.

The classic Southern Cross, Genesis Climber Mospeada and Aura Battler Dunbine TV series will be released in multi-disc DVD sets. “City Hunter… is currently being re-evaluated due to circumstances out of ADV’s control.”

Apparently an American release of the Nadesico Gekiganger III OAV is “likely” but there are still no plans for an American release of the Sorcerer Hunters OAV series or the Blue Seed 2 OAV series.

DVD versions of AD Vision’s adult titles are finally on the way. Production on the F³ DVD is currently underway.
