Additional Detail on ADV Expo Announcements

ICv2 News has learned that AD Vision has acquired not only North American distribution rights to the live action Japanese comedy program Oh! Mikey, ADV has also acquired translation rights to the live action comedy variety program Vermillion Pleasure Night. Oh! Mikey was originally broadcast as a serialized sketch segment on the Vermillion Pleasure Night program. The Japanese Oh! Mikey and Vermillion Pleasure Night DVDs contain optional English subtitles.

AD Vision plans to “re-subtitle” the Macross television series.

ADV’s Newtype Magazine will begin serializing the Neon Genesis Evangelion: Girlfriend of Steel manga, based on the Girlfriend of Steel 2 computer game, this fall. It will be retitled Evangelion: Angelic Days.
