ADV at Anime Expo

AD Vision finally announced the You’re Under Arrest movie for video and DVD, and they are considering a theatrical release. The 85 episode domestic Robotech series has been picked up. They have hired Carl Macek to produce the video and DVD release. They are planning many extras- promotional materials that were produced to sell the show, voice actor interviews, historical stuff, etc. This is not to be confused with AnimEigo’s upcoming release of the subtitled, uncut Macross series. The Spriggan DVD will be anamorphic. In terms of new titles ADV is involved with another series production in Japan called Triangle Session. They also mentioned production of a new series based on a “very popular RPG” but he wouldn’t name it. ADV will also have two series on TV later this year, but because of some remaining contract issues couldn’t say which series or networks. AD Vision also re-confirmed some of their licenses, including Arc the Lad and Powerstone, and announced new licenses: the Xebec Studios giant robot show Dai-Gard, the Wild Arms: Twilight Venom TV series, the political kaiju series Neoranga, and domestic DVD distribution rights to the popular Sci-Fi Channel series Farscape.
