ADV Clarifies Urotsukidoji Announcement

AD Vision has clarified for Anime on DVD that not all of the new title acquisitions listed on the AD Vision homepage will actually be released under the ADV Films Label. In order to maintain distinct, separate “clean” and “adult” corporate images, the upcoming new Urotsukidoji series will be released as a Soft Cell release, not as an ADV Films release.

AD Vision stated, “As many of you already know, adult material is not part of the ADV Films label. Unfortunately an adult program, Urotsukidoji, was mistakenly listed as part of the ADV Films catalogue when in fact, that program is part of an entirely different company label. In addition, other programs intended for labels other than ADV Films were also included on the ADV Films web site. Fans are encouraged to remain attentive for information concerning the release of Urotsukidoji and the other programs under their proper labels. We apologize for this inadvertent editorial error.”
