AIC Announces Ribbon-chan Educational Anime

AIC has formally announced its development of an original “educational” anime TV series titled Maji de Otaku na English! Ribbon-chan ~ Eigo de Tatakau Mahou Shoujo (Real Otaku English! Ribbon-chan: A Magical Girl Who Fights in English). The show will feature character designs by POP, who also created the character designs for Sansai Books’ 2003 English illustrated “study guide” Moeru Eitango Moetan. Moetan was adapted into a 2007 anime TV series. Amagami SS & R-15 episode director Yoshito Nishouji will direct the series for broadcast later this summer.
