America to Make Live Action Anime

Twentieth Century Fox has secured the rights to produce live action American Dragonball films. According to the Hollywood Reporter Magazine, Fox representative Jim Gianopulos flew to Japan to broker the deal with Dragonball creator Akira Toriyama personally. Fox and Japanese publisher Shueisha will collaborate on the film and future film projects.

Threshold Entertainment, the studio that produced the Mortal Kombat films, has now secured the rights to franchise Jubei nin Pocho, better known by its American name, “Ninja Scroll.” Threshold plans to produce Ninja Scroll in all media including television, live stage tours, video games, music and more.
