American Howl Release Information Revealed

According to Anime News Service, information on the American release of Hayao Miyazaki’s latest film, Howl’s Moving Castle, has surfaced in Japan. According to the report, the American version of Howl’s Moving Castle will open in Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco on June 10th and open in 60 cities nationwide on June 16th. The film is expected to have an American limited theatrical release of 700-800 screens. Distribution will be through the Walt Disney company. Pete Doctor (Monsters Inc.) will direct the English language dialogue recording with a cast including:

Christian Bale as Howl
Jean Simmons as Old Sophie (Young Sophie not yet cast)
Lauren Bacall as the Witch of Waste
Billy Crystal as Calcifer
Blythe Danner as Madam Salliman
