According to Anime News Service, Anchor Bay Entertainment still owns the US distribution rights to Mamoru Oshii’s Angel’s Egg and hoping to release the film on DVD in North America late next year.

Pioneer has confirmed that an El Hazard OAV DVD boxed set will be released on August 7th with a retail price of $120. The set will contain the first and second OAV series in their entirety.

David Williams of AD Vision has informed Anime on DVD that the first DVD volume of Nadia: Secret of Blue Water should be out on June 19th. It’s been confirmed that the disc will contain 4 episodes and non-credit opening and ending animation clips. It uncertain whether the SD “omake” from the Japanese laserdisc version will be included on the American DVDs as this footage is a separate license from the actual episodes. Gainax created the 39 Nadia episodes on commission from Toho, then later created the additional bonus footage on their own.

Andy Kent of AD Vision clarified the rumor of Blue Seed DVD 2 being delayed until June by stating that the disc actually has no tentative or confirmed release date at all yet. He said, “We have no idea where an earlier date came from, as we usually don’t set release dates until we’re done with production on a DVD and Blue Seed vol. 2 is not done yet.”
