Anime DVD Releases & Sales Down by 20%

ICv2 reports that sales of anime DVDs in North America fell by more than 20% during 2007 while the number of North American anime DVD releases during the same period declined by 21%. ICv2 estimates the current size of the North American anime market at $275-300 million (in retail dollars), down from a 2003 high of an estimated $550 million.
