Anime Goes to School Again

The Minneapolis College of Art and Design will host its third “Schoolgirls and Mobilesuits” conference on September 26-28. Registration for the three day conference is $105 or $665 to receive one undergraduate credit.

On September 27th, the UCLA Extension Entertainment Studies Program, in collaboration with the Tokyo Foundation, will host a free symposium entitled “Entertainment Goes Pop: The Future of Anime and Manga Entertainment.” The symposium will also serve as the opening event of a ten-week lecture/workshop course on the future of anime and manga in the global entertainment business, offered for credit in UCLA’s Certificate Program in Film, Television, and Digital Entertainment Media.
