Anime On PS

The popular Yarudora game series will be making its premier on the Playstation 2 with Scandal. The game will be released on DVD media on June 29 with a retail price of 6800 yen. The four Yarudora games that premiered on the Playstation, Sampaguita, Double Cast, Yukiwari No Hana, and Kisetsu O Dakishimete, were high quality interactive anime movie adventure games featuring animation produced by studio Production IG. Notably, Sampaguita featured character designs by Masamune Shiro while Double Cast featured character design by Keichi Goto. With the original Yarudora series each title represented one of the four seasons and had a common theme of “amnesia.” In the games, the player struggled to save an amnesiac heroine. The mission is accomplished as the player saves the girl from her illness. A theme or total number of titles in the new PS2 series have not been revealed yet.

Also on June 29, an adventure RPG for Houshin Engi will be released for the Playstation. Based on the fairly recent TV series, Houshin Engi is a anime adventure story loosely based on myths of Chinese gods.
