Anime Overdose to Honor Carl Macek

This weekend’s Anime Overdose convention to be held in Santa Clara, California, has officially announced a reception to honor Mr. Carl Macek’s 20 years of contributions to the advancement of anime in America.

At one time referred to as the “Devil” and parodied as a pimp that whored out anime for profit, Mr. Macek will now be honored for accomplishments including writing and directing Robotech, serving as artistic director of Streamline Pictures, and writing AD Vision’s Lady Death animated film.
