Anime Tourist Covers Fanimecon

Anime Tourist has published it’s full report on news and events at last weekend’s Fanimecon. Among the highlights:

FLCL will air on American television before the end of the year. Indications point toward a broadcast on the Cartoon Network.

Pioneer’s American release of Ground Defense Mao-chan will be fully translated and dubbed by Production IG.

FUNimation again confirmed that there are no plans in Japan for any new Dragonball animation.

Pioneer confirmed that there are presently no plans in Japan for any new Trigun animation.

The live action Evangelion movie is budgeted at $100 million and will be filmed in New Zealand with an international cast. It will be a re-telling of the TV series story.
