AnimEigo Apologizes to Fans and Announces Correction

In a refreshingly forthright move unusual to the American anime industry, AnimEigo founder and president Robert Woodhead has officially apologized to fans for the unanticipated debacle over their Orange Road TV series DVDs and announced that AnimEigo will totally remaster their new Kimagure Orange Road limited edition DVD boxed set to bring its video format in line with industry standard and consumer expectations. Since the remastering is such a massive task, there is no tentative date on when the new DVD discs will be completed. Furthermore, AnimEigo has announced that they will introduce an industry first by creating a standard policy for DVD format, available to the public, and any forthcoming DVD releases that will deviate from that standardized format will be announced in advance as non-conforming to standard format.
