AnimeSols’ Black Jack Pledge Drive Succeeds

Roughly 200 North American otaku, out of over 500 million North American residents, volunteered to contribute money toward AnimeSols’ effort to release the first 12 episodes of the 2004 Black Jack television series on limited-edition domestic DVD, making the funding effort successful just 2.5 hours before its deadline. Out of AnimeSols’ initial 8 titles, two have been successfully funded and will see DVD release: Black Jack & Magical Angel Creamy Mami.

I bumped up my contribution from $40 to $65 earlier this week.
