Aniplex to Release Gyo & Zetsuen no Tempest Domestically
|Aniplex of Japan has announced plans to officially release English subtitled DVDs of the Gyo OVA and Zetsuen no Tempest television series in America. The 70-minute GYO: Tokyo Fish Attack OVA based on Junji Ito’s horror manga will list at $37.98 and retail at $29.98. The adaptation from studio UFOtable was released in Japan early last year.
Aniplex will release last year’s 24-episode Zetsuen no Tempest televivsion series in two season sets. Each three-disc DVD set will list at $74.98 and retail at $59.98. The first set will be released on August 13. The second set will follow on January 21, 2014.
Yes, Gyo on subtitled DVD is rather pricey. An average of $10 per disc for Zetsuen no Tempest, however, isn’t so unreasonable.

I liked ZnT enough to shell out for the series, but I’m uncertain about GYO. $30 for a BD release would be an insta-buy, but I’d have to have the money burning a hole in my pocket for mere DVD…
