Another Hideo Nakata Remake Rumored

According to The Hollywood Reporter, international film financing, production and distribution company Distant Horizon has acquired the rights to remake Hideo Nakata’s 1996 ghost story film Joyurei (AKA: Ghost Actress, AKA: Don’t Look Up) for the American market.

The American remake of Nakata’s seminal 1998 suspense/horror film Ring opens on October 18th. The movies “Chaos,” and “Dark Water,” also directed by Hideo Nakata, have already been licensed for American re-makes.
