Appleseed Aphpa Trailer Released
IGN has released the first trailer for Sony Pictures’ & Japan’s Lucent Pictures Entertainment’s forthcoming CG action film Appleseed Alpha. Shinji Aramaki, director of the 2004 & 2007 CG Appleseed films, is directing “Alpha” for American release online on July 15 and home video release on July 22. There are seemingly no present plans to release the film in Japan.

It looks too much like a generic CG flick or a mediocre video game. The plotline leaves too much to be desired. Also, the fact that it may not be released in Japan speaks volumes in itself. I think I will pass and stick with the older non-CG version.
