Arete Hime Coming to North America

The third annual Waterloo Festival for Animated Cinema, to be held in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, has announced that it will host the North American premier screening of the 2000 anime film Princess Arete. The film festival will also host theatrical screenings of Hayao Miyazaki’s Laputa: Castle in the Sky, Escaflowne, Utena, Perfect Blue, and the Canadian premier of WXIII Patlabor.

The film festival will also host a number of other high profile Asian animated films including Korea’s Wonderful Days and Mari Iyagi, and Hong Kong’s My Life as McDull.
