Arpeggio of Blue Steel TV Series Announced

Angel Beats & Devil Survivor 2 director Seiji Kishi and studio Sanzigen are now producing a TV series adaptation of “Ark Performance’s” post-apocalyptic naval warfare manga Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio ~ Arpeggio of Blue Steel. The manga revolves around a crew of humans that comandeer an alien submarine and use it to fight back against the “Fleet of Fog” that oppresses humankind.

Hopefully the input of Seiji Kishi & a bevy of bishoujo will make this title a bit more appealing to American viewers because traditionally naval anime including Nanatoshi Monogatari, Zipang, Chinmoku no Kantai, and Tactical Roar have not made a big splash among American otaku.
