Article on Patlabor Movie 3

The British Sci-Fi.com website has published an interesting new introductory article on the new WXIII Patlabor movie, the third film in the theatrical franchise and the first not directed by Mamoru Oshii. According to the review, though, the new film not only maintains Oshii’s signature Patlabor style, the new film is actually even more character and drama centered, not only leaving the giant robots until the conclusion of the film but virtually marginalizing the traditional Patlabor cast throughout much of the film as well.
