The title of Broccoli’s famous mascot character franchise Di-Gi-Charat is an abbreviation of “Digital Character.” The title is not French. It’s not pronounced “Di-Gi-Chare.” It’s pronounced “Di-Gi-Carrot.” It’s spelled phonetically in Katakana, “De-Ji-Kyarato.” Nyo.
