Shin Megami Tensei is the title of the Atlus video game series that includes titles like Devil Summoner, Soul Hackers, and the Persona games for the Playstation. It also includes the Pokemon-style monster collecting Devil Children games for the Gameboy Advance. This Gameboy game franchise spawned a successful 50 episode long anime TV series in 2000 titled “Shin Megami Tensei Devichil” (short for “Devil Children”). It was essentially a cross between the monster collecting of Pokemon and the darker, more mature style of Digimon. In October 2002 the series was revived for a second anime TV series titled “Shin Megami Tensei Devil Children Light & Dark.” This popular series is still running on Japanese television and is right now up to 27 episodes.
