What’s the freakiest, nastiest, most disguising hentai of all time?

Answer:
I haven’t watched every adult anime ever produced, but I have sampled enough of them to be able to identify a reasonably comprehensive selection of the most shockingly grotesque and upsetting erotic anime ever. The candidates fall into two categories. A pair of early adult anime is particularly noteworthy for their intensely cynical tone. The more contemporary examples merit recognition for their practically unconscionable excess.

The very first pornographic straight-to-video anime ever released was studio Wonder Kids’ Lolita Anime I: Yuki no Beni Kesho/Shoujo Bara Kei, released on February 21, 1984. The half-hour OVA based on erotic manga by Fumio Nakajima included two separate stories: “The Reddening Snow,” and “Girls Tortured with Roses.” The first segment in particular, Yuki no Beni Kesho, remains one of the more unusual and distinctive adult anime in the history of the genre not only due to its historical significance but because of its deeply affecting tone. The 15-minute short depicts Yoko, a poor rural high school girl, who is assaulted and raped by her would-be boyfriend Kazuo and two of his brutish classmates. Highlighting the depravity of the situation, Kazuo even apologizes as he begins to assault her, as if he literally can’t restrain himself. After being violated by the boy she trusted, Yoko goes home only to be raped by her senile and delusional grandfather who mistakes her for his deceased wife. Out of frustration and terror, Yoko kills her grandfather then, with her sanity waning, tempts her classmate rapists into dying along with her.

The short episode is noteworthy because despite being the first ero-anime it’s distinctly not titillating at all. The pacing, character design, and tone of the short all evoke the live-action Japanese “pinku” film genre of the 1960s. Instead of trying to arouse viewers, the OVA seeks to depress and horrify viewers. The plight of its protagonist is pitiful and tragic. Yoko deliberately and accidentally becomes a victim to animalistic male lust, and that irrepressible sexual aggression destroys everyone it touches.

Likewise, Orange Video House’s March 10, 1985, OVA Datenshi-tachi no Kyouen (“Orgy of Fallen Angels”), based on a manga by pinku film screenwriter Dirty Matsumoto, also distinctly evokes a depraved, degenerate tone that’s anything but erotic. The harsh OVA depicts a yakuza loan shark who extracts his debt in the form of sexual humiliation. The unsavory yakuza boss forces a teen girl to watch him rape and sexually torture her mother and aunt. Then he forcibly deflowers the young girl until the girl avenges herself on him and escapes. Deeming even her relatives now irredeemably besmirched, the psychologically damaged girl torches the entire gang’s hideout. The dour OVA is a sheer exercise in aberrant depravity. It’s humorless, patently un-erotic, and manifestly distressing.

More contemporary adult anime from 2003-2004 including Pink Pineapple’s three-episode Shitai wo Arau, which includes violent rape, necrophilia, and some gore, and Discovery’s two-episode Pigeon Blood, which includes some graphic genital piercing, are widely considered disturbing and intense, but Pigeon Blood, on the whole, isn’t any more shocking than numerous other contemporary adult anime. Shitai wo Arau definitely includes some highly grotesque imagery, but the series’ most intense sequence are drug-induced hallucinations, which mitigates some of the show’s impact.

The 2006-2008 two-episode Inyouchuu The Animation mini-series is intense and disturbing tentacle rape hentai, but it’s surpassed in grotesque imagery by its two-episode 2008 sequel Inyouchuu Shoku. The tentacle rape series features giant insertions, “inflation,” and most sickeningly insect birthing. However, since Inyouchuu Shoku focuses so intently on a single fetish, it may be eclipsed in shock value by two other hentai series that cover a wider range of depravity.

Media Blasters specifically licensed Pink Pineapple’s 2003-2004 two-episode Bondage Game: Shinsou no Reijoutachi OVA series in response to consumer requests for the “sickest hentai anime” available. The grotesquely erotic mini-series hinges upon misogynistic sexual objectification. Not only are women turned into sexual slaves, they’re treated as sub-human material for fetishistic manipulation including gruesome murder, extreme body modification, and hyper-distended “inflation.”

However, even as repellently disgusting as Bondage Game is, it may still be surpassed by Pink Pineapple’s 2001-2002 three-episode Ail Maniax ~Inma Seifukugari & Majogari no Yoru ni~, a series still unlicensed for official American release. Ail Maniax is arguably history’s most offensive erotic anime. The three episodes include golden showers, rape with a spiked dildo, fisting with a spiked glove, a woman’s womb being pulled out through her bellybutton, and even a woman being tazed while a vampire penis impales the entire vertical length of her body.
