Before Green Gables Anime Announced

Japanese publisher Shinchosha has announced that Budge Wilson’s new children’s novel “Before Green Gables,” a prequel to Lucy Maud Montgomery’s classic 1908 novel Anne of Green Gables, will get an anime adaptation under the Japanese title “Konnichiwa Anne.”

Anne of Green Gables was adapted into a 50 episode anime television series directed by Isao Takahata in 1979.
