BiS Idol Anime Announced

An 8-episode CG anime titled “Backstage Idol Story” will premiere on October 10 on the Space Shower TV channel. The program animated by Gainax’s satellite studio Kichijoji Tron will star the members of the new idol pop group BiS (Brand-New Idol Society). Each episode will be split into a depiction of the group member’s idle backstage conversation and an improvised chat between the BiS members and a special guest, an episode structure very similar to last year’s CG anime TV series gdgd Fairies. gdgd Fairies screenwriter Kotaro Ishidate will supervise scripting and will direct the Backstage Idol Story anime.
