Break Blade Anime Announced

Japanese publisher Flex Comix has formally announced development of an anime adaptation of Yunosuke Yoshinaga’s fantasy mecha manga series Break Blade. The sixth volume of the Break Blade manga goes on sale in Japan this week. The first volume of the manga series was released in America yesterday, under the American title “Broken Blade.”

The manga serial premiered in Gekkan Shounen Blood Magazine in October 2006. Its sixth collected volume will go on sale in Japan this week. The Break Blade story revolves around Rygart Arrow, a young man whose ability to pilot an ancient, powerful robot makes him the pivitol point in a war in which he has personal friends on both sides of the conflict.
