Capcom News and Previews
|One of the lesser known, but greatly loved Capcom fighters was the 2.5 dimension Rival Schools. Capcom has released the test version of the sequel for the NAOMI arcade board at their Tokyo arcade. DC.IGN.com has seen the game, and has reported on the game’s engine and characters. It looks like the new game will maintain the humorous nature and frantic tempo of the original game. The game includes at least 4 new characters, Yurika, a member of the orchestra who use a violin to unleash musical attacks; Ran, a tennis players; Momo, a little girl with magical rings; and Nagare, a bodybuilding club member who wears a skimpy thong, and now features a Marvel vs Capcom 2 style of 3 on 3 fighting rather than the previous Rival Schools games’ 2 on 2 teams.
Magic Box is reporting a rumor that Capcom vs SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 will contain dozens of hidden characters, that there will be close to 60 playable characters in the game, with 28 initially playable. The hidden characters can be unlocked by using a points system similar to Marvel vs Capcom 2. Magic Box was the first site to reveal the number of hidden characters in Marvel vs Capcom 2, so their prediction of the total number of characters in SNK vs Capcom may actually be correct.
