Capcom Picks Up SNK’s Slack

Rumor has it that Capcom will be releasing SNK’s games in the US, notably Cool Cool Toon and King of Fighters 2000: Evolution. According to the rumor, both games will be released as part of Capcom’s budget line, for roughly $34.99-$39.99 each.

In other SNK news, they have released King of Fighters 2000 to arcades. SNK has announced that this time, KOF 2000 has 34 playable characters in the game, with 5 new characters and 29 returning characters. The 5 new characters are most likely the new strikers (help characters) from KOF ’99: Evolution for the DC, namely Seth, Vanessa, Alfred ( from Real Bout 2), Fio ( from Metal Slug) and Gai (from Buriki One) and a lot more female characters than in any previous KoF title. New “Another Striker” and “Active Striker” systems are also introduced in this game.
