Central Park Announcements from Anime Expo

The Slayers DVD audio flaw will most likely not be fixed due to economical reasons. CPM would require around 1200 guaranteed preorders to make the re-mastering process worth the time and expense.

The contracts with NuTech and Image for DVD production expire at the end of the year and likely will not be renewed. Following this expiration, CPM will likely re-master and re-release several of their anime titles already released by Nutech and Image. The DVD titles already released and forthcoming from Image and NuTech include Project A-ko, Odin, Cyber City, Tokyo Babylon, Rhea Gall Force and more. CPM confirmed at Anime Expo that next year they will remaster and re-release the original La Blue Girl DVDs currently manufactured by NuTech Digital.

CPM is co-producing the new La Blue Girl OAV series that premiered in Japan on May 25th and will distribute this new series in America next year.
