Dead Or Alive 2 Movie

American production company Mindfire Entertainment has secured the rights to produce a live-action movie based on the Dead or Alive 2 Hardcore video game. Following the current trend of action movies featuring female leads, established by Charlie’s Angels and the upcoming Tomb Raider movie, Dead or Alive: Hardcore – The Movie will focus on the female fighters of the game joining forces to defeat the demon Tengu. Mindfire is anticipating the movie to spawn a franchise. A sequel film is already being written, and plans are underway for a TV Dead or Alive TV series, should the movie be successful. The film is being targeted for release in late 2001.
