Discotek Acquires Cybersix & Fatal Fury Movie

Discotek has announced its license-rescue of the 1994 Garou Densetsu motion picture, better known in English as “Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture.” The film was previously distributed on domestic VHS and DVD by Viz Media. Discotek is presently creating a new anamorphic 16:9 transfer of the film from the original negatives for its domestic release.

Discotek has also acquired home video rights to the 1999 Cybersix animated television series. The adaptation of Carlos Trillo and Carlos Meglia’s Argentinian comic book series was animated by TMS. The 13-episode series was initially broadcast from October to December 1999 on Canadian television. The show was then partially broadcast on American TV from August to November 2000 then aired on Japanese TV from October 2000 to January 2001.
