FUNimation has announced that the original Dragonball TV series will debut as part of the afternoon Toonami block on the Cartoon Network on June 25th. Dragonball will air at 5:30 PM EDT, Monday through Friday.

Gen Fukunaga, President of FUNimation, says of the show, “Dragon Ball is a wonderful series of Japanese anime that details the early years of the characters that fans have come to love on the Dragon Ball Z television series. Dragon Ball is a wonderfully enchanting saga that is sure to be a hit with anime fans and all viewers who enjoy the Dragon Ball Z story.” Fukunaga also announced that new episodes of Dragon Ball Z will begin airing on the Cartoon Network beginning September 3rd.

FUNimation will market Dragon Ball on home video format in both edited and uncut versions, and will launch Dragon Ball 9-inch collectible action figures through Irwin Toys, the company that currently markets the domestic Dragon Ball Z action figures and accessories.
