Female Empowerment on the Rise in Japan

The Inter Press Service News Agency has published an article detailing the increase of “soft power,” in Japan- the increasing equality of females in Japanese society. The article cites recently implemented Japanese laws that lift the burden of elderly care off Japanese women, and legal protections for battered and abused women. The article also refers to Japan’s manga industry as one of the few Japanese businesses in which women have equal opportunity with men.
