Final Fantasy Chronicles Confirmed for US

In response to consumer demand for a rerelease of Chrono Trigger, Square has confirmed that the Japanese Playstation versions of Final Fantasy 4 and Chrono Trigger will be translated and released in America this July in a single package titled Final Fantasy Chronicles, with a retail price of $40. Chrono Trigger will include new anime movie sequences throughout the game, and a new “omake” mode that allows viewers to unlock monster, map, magic and treasure data as well as a movie viewer and BGM jukebox. Final Fantasy IV will be getting an entirely new literal English translation based on the uncut, unedited original Japanese story, a new “run” option for use on the world map and in towns & dungeons, a two-player battle mode, and the new CG cinema sequences created for the Playstation version.
