Final Fantasy Clips at Siggraph

A report from the Siggraph computer art and animation conference is saying that “Square Pictures gave a great little surprise to the attendees with a first look at some really detailed parts of ‘Final Fantasy’ that weren’t in the recent teaser. There were lots more scenes of space battles and character fighting, but the really cool scene showed one of the female characters of the movie taking a shower (nothing naughty). The animation was fabulous. The water effects were very impressive, with water running down her face. There was a shot of the shower drain, and all the water was running into it. Many of the space battles were extremely complex. The camera movements flowed from small battle to large battle, through gorgeous explosions and weaving over and under space ships and transports. Obviously, all the character details are superb. I’ll be looking for more FF stuff as the week goes on.”
