Free English Language Akihabara Guided Tours Available

The Tourism Industry Association of Japan now offers a free, English language guided tour of Tokyo’s Akihabara district every Saturday until January 19, 2008. The two-hour walk covers Radio Kaikan (Kotobukiya outlet, K-Books), Electric Town (electronics & duty-free shops), Tsukumo Robot Kingdom, and the Tokyo Anime Center. Akihabara is universally considered the Mecca for anime otaku.
