Fujiko TV Teaser

TMS Entertainment has released a teaser trailer for next month’s Lupin III: Mine Fujiko to Iu Onna (Lupin III: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine) television series. Sayo Yamamoto (Michiko to Hatchin) is directing the 13-episode series with Redline director Takeshi Koike acting as animation director & character designer. This first Lupin TV series in 27 years is designed to evoke the “sensuality” of creator Monkey Punch’s original Lupin III manga, serialized from 1967-1972. The series will premiere on April 4.

This will be really neat if it actually looks and feels like experimental 70’s animation in the vein of Kanashimi no Belladonna & Ralph Bakshi.
