Full Metal Alchemist Manga Remains Best Seller

For the third straight week since it’s release, Full Metal Alchemist volume 1 has been the best selling graphic novel in mainstream American retail stores. “FMA’s performance solidifies its position as the breakout manga/anime product of 2005, driven by the popularity of the anime series on the Cartoon Network.”

According to the most recent report from Nielsen BookScan, manga titles account for 40 out of the top 50 current best selling graphic novels in mainstream retail stores.
