FUNimation Announcements from A-Kon

At the recent A-Kon convention FUNimation announced its acquisition of translation and distribution rights to the action/drama anime TV series Gunslinger Girl. FUNimation is also negotiating for localization rights to the Japanese Gunslinger Girl Playstation 2 game.

Shaman King will be released to domestic DVD beginning on October 19th in edited American TV and uncut subtitled versions.

Also on October 19th, FUNimation will begin releasing an uncut version of the second Yu-Gi-Oh TV series, the series that’s currently broadcast on American television in an edited form.
