FUNimation Announcements From Anime Expo
|During this past weekend’s Anime Expo convention, FUNimation revealed its acquisition of distribution rights to 32 anime titles previously held by AD Vision, along with 18 former Geneon USA titles. Geneon titles will initially be released as individual DVD volumes beginning later this summer for the benefit of collectors that previously collected the original Geneon releases. These titles will eventually be reissued in value priced multi-disc sets. Re-releases of former ADV titles may begin as early as this fall. Packaging for the former ADV titles will remain consistent with ADV’s releases. ADV may be employed to continue and finish production on unfinished titles for distribution by FUNimation.

This actually worries me a bit. Can FUNimation really support these titles all at once? I like FUNimation and don’t want to see it making the mistake of stretching itself too thin.
