FUNimation Debuts Dubbed Slayers Revolution
FUNimation has released the first four English dubbed episodes of the 2008 Slayers Revolution television series on YouTube. The dub reunites most of the cast that dubbed the earlier Slayers TV shows a decade ago. The entire 13 episode series is available for free subtitled viewing on YouTube and FUNimation’s homepage. The series will hit DVD in a complete collection on March 16.

Funny… I didn’t think the original voice-over work for SLAYERS was good at all. I took to Hayashibara instead.
But that aside, I don’t exactly believe this acquisition was a license where you had fans of the original crying “Bring me the original cast” as we’ve had with others — I’m drawing a slight blank, but do believe we’ve had related cases between AH! MY GODDESSS tv, FULL METAL PANIC, COWBOY BEBOP: THE MOVIE, EVANGELION, where the original cast was retained after a property switched hands or saw a new version over the years. Simply put, sometimes you just gotta upgrade.
