FUNimation on Yu Yu Hakusho

Gen Fukunaga, president of FUNimation, has revealed some news that may please many anime fans. FUNimation is apparently committed to trying to preserve the original integrity of Yu Yu Hakusho for its American release. The American version will utilize the original music from the Japanese version, and FUNimation will strive to edit the series as little as possible, although television networks have a major say in the final editing process. They are hoping to have Steve Simmons, who supervises their translations of Dragonball, also work on Yu Yu Hakusho. Fukunaga also stated that details of a home video release are uncertain as it’s mainly a handful of major retail chains that determine what the home video releases will be like with their buying power.
