Geneon Announces New Acquisitions

Although Yahoo News of Japan reported three months ago that Geneon USA had acquired distribution rights to the Appleseed movie, Geneon has now issued an official press release confirming its acquisition rights to both Appleseed and Tetsujin 28.

The Appleseed movie will be released theatrically in America later this summer with a home video release to follow.

The acquisition announcement doesn’t clarify is Genon’s acquisition of Tetsujin 28 is the current anime TV series or the currently in production Japanese live action movie.
